This fall term I’m giving a class on "Vernetzte Kommunikation" ("Networked Communication"), covering basic sociological aspects of computer-mediated communication in general and social software in particular. What is going to be really interesting: The course will be linked to two similar classes given by Sebastian Fiedler (University Augsburg) and Thomas Burg (University Innsbruck), probably through a shared platform (though it is not yet decided where we will gather…).
I see this web-based collaboration as kind of an experiment; hopefully there will be a good group of active students participating, because there will be a lot to learn!
