At conferences, there are…

…good time slots, usually those in the second or third session on the first day: The audience got used to the conference rhythm, but is not yet tired from listening to 15-minutes presentations and the subsequent self-presentations-disguised-as-comments/questions by fellow audience members.

… bad time slots, usually those in the last session of the day or even the last session of the conference. Everyone is tired and checking the time, hoping to maybe even catch the train one hour earlier.

… ugly time slots: the first session on the morning after the conference party.

Guess when my presentation at the GOR 2005 Conference will be? It’s going to be a tough session 21…
