So the GOR 2005 is underway.. We had a nice Early-Bird-Meeting last night, with interestingly named food ("Kalbsvoressen"… turned out to be some kind of Gulasch) and heavily-priced beverages… But that’s Zürich, costs of living seem to be pretty high in general.
This day started of with an interesting keynote by Andreas Weigend (Stanford University, USA, former Chief Scientist of Amazon.com) who talked about "People and Data". I’ve taken some notes, but am actually a little short on time and battery right now, so I’ll post them later.
The Weblog Session was scheduled in the first block, so I held my presentation on "blogging as social action" right away. Impressions and comments on the other presentations will follow, now it’s time for some face-to-face interaction during coffee break..
