When I arrived on Tuesday night, I took a group cab from the airport (thanks to the nice elderly man from Siebenbürgen on the plane who gave me the advice) which brought me to my hotel via a lot of different parts of the city (where we dropped off the other passengers). But apart from that short trip, I haven’t seen much of the city yet - but I already have seen three really nice places:

• The van Leer Institute with its great architecture and nice, relaxed athmosphere - see also Don Alphonos post over here [german].
• The Colony restaurant, where we had dinner and a couple of drinks last night (again, Don Alphonso has a german post).
• And the Prima Royale Hotel where I’m staying for the conference - a nice place, with a lot of noisy french guests though.. And they have a kind way of making me feel welcome: free food on my table. When I arrived, I found fruit. When I came back last night, I found cookies (right next to the fruit I haven’t eaten yet). I wonder what I’ll find tonight? Cake? Ice Cream? Roast Salmon?
